2007 Wienerin Charity Award 2007 Wienerin Magazine Julia Neubauer Julia received this award "for being a strong, independent woman who strives to realize her dreams, takes action to help people in dire need, and is a role model for other women."
2007 100 Projects for Peace Kathryn Wasserman Davis Julia Neubauer Julia received this $10,000 grant to establish a computer education center at AIC that will foster peace through the provision of life skills and foster global exchange and understanding for the AIC residential and outreach children.
2007 Humanitarian Award Emory University Elizabeth Sholtys Elizabeth received this award for her dedication to the street children of India, through her work with AIC.
2007 Unsung Heroines Award Center for Women at Emory Elizabeth Sholtys Elizabeth received this award for her work with and role in AIC, both in India and at Emory.
2006 Peace Medal (Youth Category)YMCA of Greater MontrealAshraya Initiative for ChildrenAIC was awarded this peace medal for "strong, concrete commitment to building peace in their own daily lives and communities."
2006 Project Peace Association for the Promotion of Youth Communication AIC Japan AIC Japan received this grant to organize a fundraising event through which participants can develop links to the "AIC Family."
2006 21st Century Youth Award Foundation for Encouragement of Social Contribution (FESCO) Asami Matsumoto Asami received the FESCO award for her work in mobilizing Japanese youth on the street child cause.
2006 Voluntaria 2006 Austrian Social Ministry Ashraya Initiative for Children AIC received the national "Volunteers of the Year Award" in Austria.
2006 Mutual Aid, Peace and Justice Avenir Forces Avenir Ashraya Initiative for Children We were awarded the first prize in our category by the Forces Avenir foundation in recognition of our work with street children.
2006 International Service Award Princeton University Julia Neubauer Julia received this award for her extraordinary cross-cultural humanitarian endeavors at the home.
2006 Nominee for Student Society of McGill "Best New Club of the Year Award" Student Society of McGill University AIC, McGill Chapter AIC McGill was nominated for the Best New Club of the year award.
2006 Stephanie Canright Award Stephanie Canright Foundation Elizabeth Sholtys Elizabeth received the Stephanie Canright award to cover the costs of starting the outreach project for street girls.
2005 Scholarship and Service Grant (Tier 2) Emory Scholars Program Amber Wang This grant went toward Amber's service work at the home in Pune.
2005 Sony Marketing Student Volunteer Fund Sony Ashraya Initiative for Children We received this grant for the making of the Japanese documentary, filmed in February 2006, "Dream*Dream."
2005 SIRE (Scholarly Inquiry and Research at Emory) Emory University Amber Wang Amber received this grant to conduct research on NGO development (AIC) for children in India
2005 ICIS (Institute of International and comparative Studies) Scholarship Institute of International and Comparative Studies, Emory University Elizabeth Sholtys Elizabeth was awarded this scholarship to cover her expenses and some of the start up costs of the home in spring 2005.
2004 SIRE (Scholarly Inquiry and Research at Emory) Emory University Elizabeth Sholtys Elizabeth was awarded this grant to conduct research amongst street children in India in summer 2004. In October of that year she presented her work at a Research Symposium.
