On-site Team

Tarun Joshi – Executive Director

Tarun, joined AIC family in 2018. An engineer by qualification and experience of over 10 years with non-profits like Teach for India, Mentor Together, India School Leadership institute and Save the Children India. He started his journey as a teacher and taught 3rd and 4th grade for 2 years and then moved on to be a part of leadership team with other NGOs. He has worked in the areas of curriculum design, teacher training, program operations and building program strategy.

Megha ThapaEducation Outreach Program Director

Megha joined AIC in 2018. She  is a development professional and posses 5 years of practical experience in program and project management.
Megha holds a MBA degree in rural development and has worked for a grass root level not-for-profit organization Aarohi, for 5 years. At Aarohi, she led the education and health related initiatives of a project based in Almora district in Uttarakhand.

 Alisha Coelho – Partnerships Manager

Alisha joined the AIC family in 2019. She is an engineering graduate with 6 years of experience in the non profit sector. Her previous experience lies in the areas of child protection, impact assessment, data and research.

AIC’s strong on-site administrative team ensures that all programs function in a highly organized manner. This team understands that a holistic approach works best for success and provides necessary administrative and supervisory support to on-site staff members as well as feedback and updates to the international team.
AIC’s teaching staff, the lifeline of the Education Outreach Program, is a highly motivated group that teaches AIC’s pre-primary school students and also provides daily tuition support (English and Marathi) to students in grades 1 to 10.

Board of Directors

Sanjiv Tare – Board of Director, Ashraya Foundation for Children

Sanjiv carries with him a 35 years of rich experience in areas of CSR, Sustainability, Corporate affairs and Corporate communications. A certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner (UK) and Affirmitive Action Assessor(Tata group); Sanjiv has headed CSR function for Tata Communications and has been instrumental in designing global CSR projects in areas of Digital Inclusion, Education, Healthcare, Livelihoods, Entrepreneurship, Volunteering and Impact communication. He has also been an advisor for large corporates and development organisations, helping them deploy a sustainability management platform.

Lewitt Somarajan – Board of Director, Ashraya Foundation for Children

Lewitt comes with a rich experience of nonprofits and educatiopn secotor. He is the Founder & CEO of Life-Lab. Life-Lab makes science education fun & engaging for children & builds the capacities of teachers to create experience-based learning environments. Life-Lab is currently working with more than 1200+ schools, impacting 4.5 lakh children across 6 states. Lewitt is an Ashoka Fellow & Teach For India Fellow and earned his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering.
